Period Sash Windows.

Sash Windows

At Hutchinsons our main skill set is to replicate period mouldings and profiles.

So when asked to manufacture traditional hardwood sash windows, which featured traditional small section glazing bars, it was a chance to show off our skill set.

Whilst the windows had to meet heritage specifications, including single glazing with a finished putty point, the architect also specified numerous seals to be incorporated.

Whilst this can pose a problem to mass manufacturers, as cnc set up charges can be astronomical, at Hutchinsons our traditional approach means we can machine any profile to incorporate any seals specified.

These sash windows included the traditional weighing system, but incorporated steel sash weights instead of the traditional lead.

All our products are finished using our water borne spray finish system, incorporating Teknos Coatings.

We only source the highest quality timber, and incorporate the market leaders in spray finishing coatings.

If you have a contract that requires this specific skill set, then please give one of our team a call.
